MEET THE SPEAKERS
As a best-selling author, Yale lecturer, and international keynote speaker, Dr. Emma Seppälä teaches executives at the Yale School of Management and is faculty director of the Yale School of Management’s Women’s Leadership Program. A psychologist and research scientist by training, her expertise is the science of happiness, emotional intelligence, and social connection. Her best-selling book The Happiness Track has been translated into dozens of languages. Emma is also the Science Director of Stanford University’s Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education.
Suzi Lula is passionate about your transformation, especially through the practice of SOUL CARE. She is here to ensure that you create your most thriving life, family, and business. Suzi is a pioneer in the field of spiritual psychology, bringing together experiential transformational practices on the emotional and spiritual levels of consciousness, as well as deeply healing the heart of the inner child. Geno La Placa is a mom, wife, executive coach, and transformational leader dedicated to empowering women by teaching them how to turn an unconscious mind into a conscious life. With over two decades of executive experience, she served as a C-level executive in the hedge fund industry and consulted for the world’s leading investors. The loss of her mother illuminated the struggle women face between career success, family life, and caring for themselves inspiring her journey of personal growth and integration.
Her background includes entrepreneurship, nonprofit leadership, an Executive Coaching certification from Berkeley University, and training with pioneers like Dr. Shefali, Dr. Gabor Maté, and Suzi Lula. She bridges executive strategy with soulful living, inspiring sustainable growth and meaningful transformation.
Ricci-Jane Adams
Dr Ricci-Jane Adams is the director of the global Institute for Intuitive Intelligence®. The Institute’s purpose is to mainstream the intuitive sciences and to teach people the tools of intuitive intelligence. This is our highest form of intelligence and, when practiced, can lead to an optimized reality in which we live with abundance, power and inevitable success. Ricci-Jane speaks about evidence-based, peer-reviewed intuitive science and quantum physics that, when applied through Intuitive Intelligence change lives and the world we live in for the better.
Ricci-Jane is an award-winning writer, and author of best sellers Spiritually Fierce and Superconscious Intuition. She has a doctorate from the University of Melbourne. She is a qualified Transpersonal Psychotherapist and has spent over twenty-five years devoted to her spiritual awakening.
Tracey Matisak
Tracey Matisak is an award-winning journalist, a dynamic speaker and trainer, and a seasoned program host. With many years of major market television and radio experience, Tracey has anchored numerous special projects for WHYY-TV/PBS in Philadelphia; she also served as a regular guest host on WHYY-FM/NPR’s Radio Times with Marty Moss-Coane, an hourlong current events talk show. In addition, Tracey serves as moderator for the Philadelphia Speakers Series, where she has shared the stage with the likes of former British Prime Minister Theresa May, Hollywood legend Jane Fonda, former FBI director James Comey, acclaimed filmmaker Ken Burns and historian Jon Meacham.
Tracey is the host of WVIA-TV’s Mind Over Matter television series and podcast on mental health in the age of COVID, which features firsthand accounts from people who have struggled with mental health challenges as well as conversations with clinicians about treatment options.
Tracey has been a frequent interviewer for the Author Events series at the Free Library of Philadelphia, where she has facilitated conversations with Congressman Adam Schiff, former Defense Secretary Robert Gates, entertainer and civil rights activist Harry Belafonte and Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles, among others.
In addition, Tracey has traveled worldwide in her capacity as host of Skillsoft’s Live Events – interactive executive leadership webcasts featuring some of the most widely respected authors and speakers in the business world, including Daniel Pink, Adam Grant, Seth Godin, John Maxwell and Angela Duckworth.
Throughout her career, Tracey has also done voiceover work, script writing and media training.
Tracey began her career in radio and television news, having worked for 12 years at FOX 29, Philadelphia. There, she anchored the live morning show Good Day Philadelphia and served as an anchor and reporter for FOX 29’s Ten O’Clock News. She was also a contributor to the HGTV show Design Basics, and has served as a news anchor for a number of Philadelphia radio stations, including KYW Newsradio.
A graduate of Temple University, Tracey taught for several years there as an adjunct instructor in the Klein College of Media and Communication. A winner of several local Emmy and Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters awards, Tracey was among the first to be inducted into Temple University’s Klein College Alumni Hall of Fame. She has also won the Sarah Award for Excellence in Broadcasting from the Association for Women in Communications and was named Communicator of the Year by the National Black MBA Association.
